On/Off Toggle

I'd like a way to toggle Particls on and off. Maybe I am busy one day and I don't want any notifications, I should be able to send the following command:

Version 1:

d particls off

or

d particls on

To toggle the service on or off for 1 day

Ability for user to specify which channel to disable (e.g. IM, Twitter etc)

Version 2:

Ability for user to specify timeframe in hours

the "off 10" is nice as I prefer to never have DM's and get everything XMPP. Would even be nicer if "off forever" was an option.

@Andrew - this is a Google Talk feature, we don't have control over this behavior. I find that Gmail consolidates all the emails into one handy 'Conversation' though - does it not do that for you?

Maybe we can make the bot NOT message you if you are offline.

I noticed when my gtalk is offline, any updates are emailed through to me, they appear in large numbers and keep spamming me, can we have the ability to turn off emailed offline updates.

Love the ability to toggle IM on, DM off etc. The either or option for SMS or Website on twitter was always a limitation. Sometimes you want both. The IM off is useful if you don't want to be bombarded with IM on a slow connection or 'quiet time'.

Part 1 of this command is now done and deployed. If you issue an 'off 0.5' command, your alerts will be disabled for 1/2 a day. The instructions page has been updated accordingly.
