Define exclude keywords
Wouldn't it be great if you could define an exclude list as well... Great for filtering out those unwanted internet memes, blocking chatter from conferences you aren't particularly bothered about, as well as just generally reducing the noise &
"help users filter the noise and experience a personally relevant Internet"
PS that qoute is taken straight from the particls blog ;)
Love Regards etc

let users update their twitter status via the xmpp bot
I would like to be able to update my twitter status via the xmpp bot as it would be much more convenient, similar to the way the old official twitter bot let you do so. I realise this requires password storage, but if you can somehow integrate into their OAuth it might work without needing to store clear passwords. (I'm not 100% sure on how their oauth works)

Turn twitter usernames into links when sending tweets to IM
I would be really useful if the @twittername text could be converted to a hyperlink to that users twitter page, so I could click through the link and see the context of the tweet.
In a tweet like this there would be links to both users:
"Tweet from @JonesAndy (Andy Jones):@ColinEnglish I see you're a fellow geek like me. I work at Hursley Labs do you ever come down this way ?"3 votes -
keywords shouldn't be case sensitive
So when you remove a keyword like "Internet", running the following command "d particls remove internet" should remove the keyword from my list
note: in case it's not obvious the first "Internet" has a capital I, the 2nd "internet" has a lower case i

Let's get a topic cloud going!
Can we see a listing (i.e., topic cloud) of the Particls topics, ordered by popularity? And maybe the # of tweets pushed per topic, and how often? Displaying such attention data would be really cool!

Old messages keep getting repeated
In gtalk, tweets keep showing from many days ago, i close the gtalk window and they keep spamming themselves back into the window, so i cant make sense of what is new.

IM bot should send a welcome message with instructions
This should be the exact same instructions message as the Twitter auto follow message. Perhaps a small tweak to send the user to IM instructions rather than twitter instructions.

Pairing Confirmation
When an account is paired on Particls, all active accounts should get a confirmation message and indicate that the topic lists have been merged

Email Digest
I'd like to be able to do the following
d particls digest [time in hours] [email address]
where email address sets your admin address, if you exclude it, it uses the address on file. if no address is on file it should reply with an error 'please specify an email address.'
or
d particls digest now
which sends a digest of new items since the last digest

RPX login doesn't work in Chrome
The RPX login doesn't work - when you click the 'sign in' link, it is as if javascript is disabled - the modal popup doesn't appear... Is this a known RPX issue?

Twitter has a 5000msg limit on DMs from Whitelisted Accounts
@Al3x from Twitter assures us there is no way to get around the 5000/day DM limit on the Twitter API.
What do you suggest we do to solve this problem? How would you best like to receive notifications from @Particls in the future? Would you be willing to pay for Twitter DMs? How much? What are the alternatives?
Discuss...

There are now instructions for the new XMPP bot instead of DMs – http://blog.particls.com/index.php/instructions

On/Off Toggle
I'd like a way to toggle Particls on and off. Maybe I am busy one day and I don't want any notifications, I should be able to send the following command:
Version 1:
d particls off
or
d particls on
To toggle the service on or off for 1 day
Ability for user to specify which channel to disable (e.g. IM, Twitter etc)
Version 2:
Ability for user to specify timeframe in hours

Topic Weightings
I'd like to be able to ask for 'More' or 'Less' alerts on a given topic.
For example I might like More alerts about "Social Networking" and less about "Web 2.0".
The system should weight the topics and make a judgment for me.

Public Track Stream
I'd like to be able to create a new twitter account and have Particls usurp it. Then I'd like it to broadcast alerts based on topics for me.
E.g. I'd like to set up a '@DataPortabilityNews' account and Have the Particls system send automated, topic related tweets for me via that account.
I will even give you my Username and Password!
I'd also like to be able to stop, pause and modify this at any time.
